Visual Spaces of Change at Ci.CLO Photography Biennale
by Pedro Leão Neto
Fendas intemporais starts from the discovery of a factory ruin and the will to explore it through photography, (re)inventing its forgotten spaces that, alongside with the light and signs of time, define a particular genius loci, a place that has already lost its original function with its decaying architecture. Forgotten Terrain Vague in search of a new identity and programme capable of resignifying its history and memory, transforming this location through a new gaze about its place in the city.

Fendas Intemporais at Galeria 1º andar (FBAUP)
by Miguel Leal
In this exhibition, the choice was not a direct revisitation of the published photographic project, but rather the creation of a new situation adapted to the space and context. In a symmetrical montage, at the top of the stairs, two doors open onto a world in ruins, as if inverting the relationship between interior and exterior, between construction and ruin. In the middle, in suspension, a colored and luminous crystal announces other ghosts that hover in these out-of-place places.
