SKY, EARTH AND WATER (CREATURE)

In 2030 an earthquake measuring 9 on the Richter scale caused a tsunami of great proportions that hit the Portuguese capital. Several marine species located at over 100m were dragged into the Tagus River.
Among some of these species we have the Asterias rubens, a star that quickly dies for not adapting to its new habitat.
Resting on a rock in cold waters, containing algae in its body, it grabs a dragonfly that falls into the river after a collision with a rock, leading it to a slow underwater death. The currents gradually tear its body apart until only its wings, head and two legs remain attached to the star. By mere chance, while swimming, I came across this sculpture that appeared on the shore of one of the river’s affluents.
